Mastermind Principle
In his timeless classic “Think
& Grow Rich,” Napoleon Hill defined a “Master
Mind” as “Coordination of knowledge and
effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people
for the attainment of a definite purpose.”

to application of the Master Mind: “Analyze the

James
Watt & Matthew Boulton -
Inventor meets Entrepreneur.
In 1776, James Watt made his first public demonstration of
the steam engine
in Birmingham England, an event that would change history
forever. Suddenly a machine could do the work of a hundred
men. Now it was possible to power factories at a great distance
from running water, even during drought and through the winter
freeze.
Watt’s inventions had been funded by Matthew Boulton,
a textile manufacturer and entrepreneur. Suddenly his factories
began to flourish with this new invention of the steam engine.
 Watt’s
steam engine offered an economical solution to the coal industry,
which was actually in a crisis. Coal had become so expensive
to mine because the cost of pumping water out of the mines
almost outstripped all the profits. The new steam engine allowed
for the mining of coal to be almost three times more cost
effective. The demand for the steam driven pumps was instantly
so strong… making Watts and Boulton immediately rich…
and bolstering the British economy.
The steam engine that would power the first locomotives would
radically alter transportation around the world.
This Mastermind
was the start of the Industrial Revolution.

Andrew
Carnegie –
 Built
the US Steel corporation with JP
Morgan and became the first billion dollar corporation
in America. Carnegie became the richest self-made man on earth
in his time. Carnegie told Napoleon Hill that he attributed
his entire success to the utilization of the Mastermind Principle.
He said, “I
personally know nothing about the manufacturing or selling
of steel but the 50 members of my Mastermind group do.”
Hill asked Carnegie what he did then to earn all the money,
he said, “I’m responsible for keeping harmony
among them all and that is a full-time occupation.”

Rockefeller
–  President
of the Standard Oil Company, the #1 refining company of his
day (which has now has become Exxon, Mobil Oil, BP, Amoco,
Conoco, ARCO, BP America and Cheesebrough Ponds).
Rockefeller said in his memoirs that “Keeping
harmony among the wild and wooly members of his Mastermind
was his most important role”, and that the Mastermind
Group was entirely responsible for the tremendous growth
and the keeping of his organizations greatest assets: its
key people, throughout all those years.
It’s estimated that in his lifetime Rockefeller donated
more than $530 million to charity and his son, John D. Jr,
would donate more than $400 million more.

In 1908, the Ford Motor Company began producing the Model

 These two
started their Mastermind

called Microsoft,
whose first year revenues were a whopping $16,005.

Forming a Mastermind Alliance has
